JANUARY 7 TO JANUARY 14, 2023: 7 NIGHTS

Telluride, being less commercialized than most resorts, is unpretentious, friendly, and full of surprises. Combining elegant European style with rustic charm, it retains the vestiges of its mining town roots while exuding a modest sophistication. It certainly has been transformed into a high profile destination resort.

The beauty, spectacular views, and fabulous skiing make Telluride a unique ski resort and an unforgettable place to visit. Condé Nast readers ranked them as the #1 Ski Resort in North America. It is truly a powder-seeker’s nirvana. It's not the easiest Colorado resort to get to, but it keeps out the hordes of people who descend on resorts near Denver. It has a lot of winter activities available that include: Nordic skiing, Fat Bike Rides, Helicopter Skiing, Winter Fly Fishing, Ice Climbing, Horseback & sleigh rides to sledding & More!

You can download their resort iPhone or Android app for up-to-date snow conditions, lift status, ski map, etc.

The Skiing:

Telluride is a ski resort that traverses two box canyons with incredible views of the San Juan Mountain and has grown over the years to 2,000 skiable acres. It receives an average of 309 annual inches of light, dry snow, which blankets 66 trails, bowls, and some of the steepest terrain in North America. The "Galloping Goose" is the longest run on the mountain -  4.6 miles and is accessible for nearly all levels of ability. It has a vertical drop of 3,845' of what some call thigh burning pleasure.

There is plenty of terrain for all levels - 23% beginner, 36% intermediate, 21% advanced and 41% expert. Beginners and intermediate skiers can ride to the highest peaks and enjoy terrain and views typically reserved for the experts.  And the best part is, this can be enjoyed without the typical crowded ski slopes and long lift lines you find at other ski resorts. The base has an elevation of 8,725' rising to the summit at 13,150'.
