Our convenient location is centered in the scenic Green Mountains of the Appalachian Trail, one mile from the Killington Ski Resort, only minutes from its sister resort, Pico Mountain and situated on the 6th hole of the Killington Golf Course. Explore nearby biking and hiking trails along more than a dozen championship golf courses. Spend an afternoon wandering through the quaint mountain towns of Rutland and Woodstock or discover the Quechee Gorge.
Killington Mountain offers fantastic outdoor recreation, shopping, and dining. From autumn leaves on some of Vermont’s best hiking trails to a springtime picnic or winter’s first snow, we will show you Vermont like you’ve never seen it before.
Killington, VT - The Mountain
Following the single largest investment in on-mountain improvements that took place for winter 2018-19, we’re excited to announce even more improvements for the future. The new experiences and improvements unveiled during the 2018-19 season included Woodward Peace Park, new Snowdon Six Express bubble lift, return of South Ridge lift service, four tunnels in busy trail intersections, K-1 Express Gondola improvements and new RFID ticketing, all of which significantly enriched the guest experience and made the resort more accessible to all.
The highlight of our current improvement plans is the replacement of the K-1 Lodge. A multi-year project, skiers and riders will be welcomed into a brand-new state of the art facility for winter 2021-22. Additional improvements include a new quad chairlift, which replaces the old North Ridge Triple and snowmaking enhancements consisting of pipe replacement, new low-energy tower guns, and new semi-automatic hydrants. Extensive snow making improvements were accomplished at out sister resort, Pico Mountain.
We are on a mission to transform the way you, our guest, experience and enjoy Killington for years to come. On its own, the K-1 base lodge rebuild is transformative for Killington. But building on last year’s investments, and combined with the other infrastructure enhancements and new experiences, these upgrades set the tone for future generations to enjoy Killington resort. Killington is undeniably the Northeast’s resort for year-round adventure.
